Jordyn loves fiction of all genres, but really enjoys romance in the summer, thrillers and horror in the fall, and fantasy year round!

This book was beautiful, heartbreaking, horrifying, and so important. I read this so fast because I needed to know what was going to happen. The author covers scary and difficult topics that, while fictionalized, feel so real. I loved this book and the indegenous representation and stories. Please check trigger warnings before reading.

Happy Place exceeded my expectations and has become my favorite Emily Henry novel. This book follows Harriet and Wyn as they try and hide their breakup from their best friends on their annual trip to a cottage in Maine. While this book explores Harriet and Wyn's relationship and breakup it really dives into their friendships and how they evolve as they are aging. As usual Emily Henry writes compelling and complex characters and fantastic and witty dialouge.

This book is just the right amount of creepy and gothic. The main character is unique and worth rooting for, with a very compelling storyline. I read it in one day!

A spooky coming of age story about friendship, ghosts, and grief. This was a quick read full of nostaligia that is perfect for the fall.

As a former english major in college and current language nerd, this book was everything. R. F Kuang does a wonderful job weaving together a story full of history, magic, and social commentary that was so beautifully written. This book will break your heart, but it is a must read.

This book was fantastic. It follows Sadie and Sam as their friendship and relationship develops and changes over the course of their lives, all while creating video games and making a name for themselves in the digital world. Sam and Sadie's story was so unique and beautiful and heatbreaking in the best way.

A wonderfully tense book about a group of students at a prestigious Shakespeare college, who find themselves involved in a shocking murder of a classmate. Dark academia murder mystery + Shakespeare. 5 star read!

A thrilling take on the origins of superhumans, while blurring the lines of good versus evil. V.E. Schwab keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Imagine if the Hunger Games included magic. All of Us Villains is about a tournament that takes place every generation to see which of seven families controls the last known source of high magic. All of the characters are bad people, but you can't help but hope for their survival. It's intense and graphic but so good.

A feel-good romance that warms your heart. Poppy and Alex have amazing chemistry and so much tension. A great summer read!

A beautiful story about what happens after we die. Although the book is about death, it is a cozy heartwarming story that will stay with you long after you finish it.
